Here’s a couple of photos I promised you of the new case we moved into at Antiques On Second in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are sharing the case with my folks, No Egrets Antiques. If you want to see more of the primitive antiques and vintage collectibles, look for case number 95, located on the third floor. Just step off the elevator, turn to your right, and you’ll see it just across from the wrap desk with the helpful staff. (Today, Bethany was working up there — turns out, she’s originally from North Dakota! What a hoot!) More photos will be shared on our Facebook page. Right now, I’m off to do some more antiquing in Wisconsin before I leave for Fargo tomorrow morning. *wink*

Tomorrow, I, the wifey, will be driving to Wisconsin with a van (nearly) full of antiques & vintage collectibles. The first few days I will be helping my parents, No Egrets Antiques, with an estate sale they are managing. Then on the 15th, we will be starting selling at our latest antique mall, Antiques on Second in Milwaukee! (All this less than two weeks after our recent buying trip in Wisconsin — no wonder we haven’t been posting much!)

I will post photos once we are moved in and it’s official. Meanwhile, take a look at the new-to-you old items in our Etsy shop!

Can an antique book be called a history book? It can when the book covered 30 years of history before its printing!

This lovely hardcover copy of Football at Minnesota: The story of thirty years’ contests on the gridiron (Minnesota Alumni Weekly, November 9, 1914) is in our case at Exit 55 Antiques. It features lovely old local MN advertising too.

When I was a kid, I used a Bell Telephone key chain just like as a phone for my Barbie dolls. Then at least someone in the house had their own pretty Princess telephone to use!

This powder blue plastic vintage advertising piece is on our case at Antiques On Broadway; just $9.

And here’s a photo of Ann-Margret, illustrating every young lady’s dreams of her own Princess phone in her room for private calls.

We spotted these fantastic vintage ceramic power-line insulators – including HUGE ones. Note these vintage insulators are not the usual glass telephone varieties, the are porcelain or pottery insulators by LAPP, with a rich glaze of what I’d call a “pumpkin brown”. Looks like these are dated from 1930-1934? We didn’t buy them. But if you want us to get them for you and ship them to you, that can be arranged. The traditional sized ones are selling for $10; the large ones are selling for $30. We’ll charge a $10 finders fee no matter how many you want — plus exact shipping to your location. Act quickly, as I don’t know how long they will be around!
