Garbage Pail Kids 3rd Series Box & 28 Un-Opened Packs 1986 GPK

$42.99
1 Available

These GPK cards still in the packages are from 3rd series (1986) -- and they appear to be the first printing of the 3rd series. (See right sidebar for more information, &/or my article on Garbage Pail Kid cards at Collectors' Quest for more details.)

There are 28 packages. And one display counter box.

The box/graphics are still bright, but there are issues with the box; one of the corner flaps is unglued (not ripped), and others are fragile. It is not pristine and perfect, but if you were a 22 year old cardboard box stored by a kid under the bed and then dragged to 'the first grown-up home' to sit in a closet, how great would you look? No offense, but likely not as nice as this box. ;)

For more of our Garbage Pail Kids cards, look here; for more on authentication, see my article on GPK at Collectors' Quest. We welcome offers on large lots and multiple GPK card purchases!

Garbage Pail Kids Series #3 Cards In Packages

One last disclaimer: While the one package I opened confirmed, via the wrapper code, that it was from the first printing of this third series, I cannot be certain the remaining packages are. You can feel the gum inside, but that doesn't mean we guarantee that these wrappers were never opened and resealed. Of course, if you want to see the cards, you’ll have to open them anyway; and if you’re looking to save cards in the original packaging, you’ll never really know what you’ve got for certain.

Information

As I wrote at Collectors' Quest, we've a large lot of original (and very retro) GPK cards

We offer some cards still in the packages, as well as single cards -- and we are very happy to hear your offers on multiple purchases.  Just E-Mail WHYC and let us know what cards you are interested in & your offer.

Cards in packages, from the 3rd series, appear to be the first printing of the 3rd series, based on the wrapper code; again, I refer you to the CQ article for more information on this.

Even though I’ve an opened pack from the first printing, I cannot verify for certain that all of the 28 remaining wrappers contain cards from the first printing. Or, in fact, that these wrappers were never opened and resealed. But the odds are in the collector's favor.

Single cards are all in very nice conditions.  We hate grading systems (because even when well-defined, they are subjective), but we'll go out on a limb and call them Excellent/Mint.

If you'd just like to enjoy the GPK memories, see scans of all the cards at Collectors' Quest.  (And if you collect them -- or anything else -- why not upload your own collection to the community?  It's free and fun!)
