A chrome "Penguin" Insulated Hot & Cold Server made by West Bend.

The exterior is made of polished Chrome with 8 Penguins all around the outside. It has a old plastic (Bakelite?) finial on the lid as well as curved down handles on the sides -- making it rather look like a penguin too.

The interior is brushed stainless steel with a rubber gasket between cover and bucket for more insulation to keep in the contents heat or cold.

Measures 8 inches tall to the top of the lid's finial. It is 10 inches wide, including handles).

Marked on the bottom: West Bend Penguin Hot & Cold Server ®, A Product Of West Bend Aluminum Co., West Bend, Wis, U.S.A., Patent No. 2,349,099 and Des. 127,279. (Design was filed Mar 13, 1941 & Issued May 20, 1941 - Patent was filed May 19, 1941 & Issued May 16, 1944).

This makes a great deco styled ice bucket.

Needs a good gentle cleaning, but minimal signs of wear.
